  1. Trevor and I have decided that we need a temple picture from every season, so yeah, we'll take this one ;) ...what was this one painted for? It's not Christina's is it? Her's was the front on view right? I'd love to see that one up too. :)

  2. NO Im not going to Post Christina's until I give it to her, this is just a ala prima oil painting, I did it in one night and decide that I sorta liked it. Its going to be auctioned off I believe.

  3. the way that the warm hues come to front of the picture plane and the cool hues define the temple that is much farther away creates some really interesting effects.the way you activate the page is really nice, where you get this really nice view from between the leaves. you overlap each plane defined by each form--the leaves overlap the temple, the temple overlaps the sky. you're creating conflicting depictions of space. on the one hand, the way you overlap these forms creates very minimal space, on the other, the way you contrast hues to define what is in the foreground and what is in the mid- to background attempts to maximize this depth. I love your alla prima works. especially the bone painting, i feel your alla prima paintings define the majority of your best works.
